Instructions for Completing Subfamily Membership Application

This form is used for family members of existing family memberships to register to obtain their own username and password.  NOTE: once you have registered as a family member, your membership will automatically renew whenever the primary family member renews their membership.  

Note:  items indicated with a  red asterisk * are required fields

Username -  select a username of at least six characters.  The username may contain letters, numbers or special characters.  It is case sensitive.  Suggested format:  First initial of first name + last name.  Example:  John Wilson would be JWilson

Password - likewise, select a password.  Same criteria as username - at least six characters containing letters, numbers and/or special characters.  Also case sensitive.

Primary Family Member Username - this is the username of the primary family member.  If the primary family member does not know their username, then they can click on the "forgot login" link at the top right of this page and their username will be emailed to them.  

Family Membership Number - this is the membership number that was assigned to the family membership.   It would have been eMailed to the primary family member when the membership was established.  If the primary family member does not know the membership number, they can find it by logging into the website and click on the "My Account" link on the top menu, followed by clicking on the "Membership Info" tab.  If you need assistance, send an eMail to and someone will be happy to assist you.

First & Last Names - self explanatory

eMail - NOTE: the eMail address must be unique (only one member per eMail address).  So if you receive a validation error that this eMail address is already in use, it is probably because you previously had a membership with WAB and your eMail address is still in our database.  If that is the case, you should still be able to login with your previous username/password and don't need to renew as long as the primary family member renewed.  If you don't know your username/password, follow the instructions above.

Mobile Phone - self explanatory

eMail Distribution Lists - indicate which eMail distribution lists you would like to join.  NOTE:  if you change you mind later, you can always update this on your profile on the website.

  • General Announcements - receive eMails of general interest to all club members
  • Every Message Board Post - receive an eMail every time a member posts to the message board - may result in multiple eMails per day
  • Daily Message Board Digest - receive one eMail per day containing all message board posts for the previous 24 hours.   If you subscribe to this but not Every Message Board Post, you might miss last-minute posts with ride cancellations or changes.
  • Advocacy - receive eMails related to bicycling advocacy
  • Flying Wheel Newsletter - receive an eMail when the monthly newsletter is available.  NOTE:  the newsletters will always be availalble through a direct link on the website.

Reasons for Joining/Riding Preferences/Areas of Interest - self explanatory.  These fields help club leadership to make decisions to best serve our membership.
